Deekshabhoomi

Deekshabhoomi is a sacred monument of Buddhism in Nagpur, the City of Oranges. Deekshabhoomi is a place where Dr.Baba Saheb Ambedkar converted into Buddhism and so did his thousands of followers. This conversion of religion took place on October 14th 1956. The stupa is famous for its architectural beauty and one of the main centers of tourism in Nagpur. The Indian Government also started a train in between Gaya and Nagpur as these are the main Buddhism Pilgrim centers in India and named the train as Deekshabhoomi express.

Sri Ram Mandir, Ramtek

This historical temple, constructed atop the hill at an elevation of 345 metres from land is believed to be more than 600 years old and is dedicated to Lord Rama along with Sita and Lakshmana. The main attraction of the Ram temple is the celebrations and religious activities held here on the auspicious occasion of Ramnavmi. Ram Temple is renowned for its unique OM structure. Besides Ram temple, 27 Brahmanical style temples can also be found on the hill.

Raman Science Centre

Raman Science Center was established on 7th March 1992 following which the planetarium was made functional on 5th January 1997. The aim behind developing the centre was to promote scientific attitude and exhibit the growth of science and technology. Some services provided by the center include a gallery showcasing Information & Technology, inventions and innovations brought in from people from across the globe, an exhibition called fun science which gives a practical insight into the scientific principles, a beautiful and large science park which is spread over 6 acres of land.

Khindsi Lake

Khindsi Lake is a lake near the city of Ramtek in the Nagpur region of India. Boating, watersports, restaurant and resort is operated by Rajkamal Tourism and Olive Resorts at Khindsi lake. It is Central India′s largest boating center and amusement park with many tourists visiting every year. There are a couple of resorts available around the lake where one can spend a day or two and relax.

Zero Mile

Zero Mile Stone is a monument locating the geographical centre of colonial India in the city of Nagpur, Maharashtra. The Zero Mile Stone was erected by the British who used this point to measure all the distances. The Zero Mile Stone consists of four horses and a pillar made up of sandstone. The British rulers considered Nagpur to be the centre of India and hence identified this point and constructed the Zero Mile Stone.
